The establishment of SECASO is the result of the discussion of a group of individuals who are committed and dedicated to echocardiography. Having been established earlier, SECASO later advanced by formally registering it in 2022. Since that time, SECASO has been recognised as a legally recognised organisation with its registration number PPM-029-10-27102022 with the Registry of Societies (ROS) in accordance with Malaysian legislation. SECASO does not represent any medical-related profession in Malaysia; it merely acts as an NGO. SECASO is more of an NGO that brings together a group of people regardless of background or type of career but with the same passion – echocardiography.
